From brand builders to beer brewers, AB InBev has taken versatile roles to serve the global audience and has brought people and cultures together across the world. A technically advanced and technologically driven client, AB InBev approached DT studio with their new Bangalore fit-out.
The proposed fit-out aimed to reflect the non-hierarchical open office design model and to accommodate large & small meeting rooms, work desks, collaboration spaces, training points, Phone booth, cafeteria & other support services for their Indian Workforce.
DT studio started by analyzing collaborative workspaces and their working pattern with respect to the Indian employee group. A workplace that would aspire to provide the much needed conductive environment that allows the workforce to co-create and innovate. An environment that fosters collaboration. The idea of collaboration, a relatively newer theory and many at times a misinterpreted concept, in an Indian market was experimented and tested. The TEAM, did a thorough research on the idea and nature of collaborative spaces and the meaning of the same to an Indian employee.
The office hence, not only reflected the spirit of AB InBev in terms of its design and spatial analysis but also responded to the local user group by understanding their behavioral patterns and suggesting apt collaborative choices for an effective interaction. The space, thus designed, enlists natural materials, custom designed collaboration spaces with multiple work environment to the user, splash of color into the largely white and grey office space. Emphasis was given to an energy efficient services design. The site with its peripheral glazing had been taken into consideration and utilized to it’s fullest potential. The use of natural light was emphasized as much as possible in the open office layout, allowing a fluid and dynamic workspace arrangement with necessary meeting rooms in the vicinity as needed. The design language used is clean, simple yet fresh with the use of colors and materials that invokes interest and relation to the users.
